We Built Wide Ripples Because Marketing Should Not Feel Like a Gamble

A small team of SEO strategists, designers and developers in Mississauga, working with businesses across Canada. We started this because we were tired of watching good companies burn budget without ever finding out what worked.

  • Mississauga based, serving Canada, the USA and the UAE
  • You own every account and asset
  • Month to month after 90 days

How did Wide Ripples get started?

We were a handful of SEO strategists, web designers and developers who kept meeting the same frustrated business owner: paying an agency every month, receiving a report full of numbers, and unable to say whether any of it produced revenue.

That gap between activity and outcome is the whole reason this agency exists. It is very easy to be busy in marketing. Publish the posts, run the ads, send the report. It is much harder, and far less common, to be able to point at a line and say this is what it cost and this is what it produced.

So we built the agency around that one idea. Measure honestly before doing anything. Work on whatever is actually the constraint rather than whatever we happen to sell. Report in language an owner can act on. And tell people the truth when something is not working, including when the honest answer costs us the retainer.

The name comes from how this compounds. One well built page, one fixed tracking event, one follow up sequence that finally runs on time. None of them look dramatic on their own, and together they change the shape of a business over a year.

  • Founded by SEO strategists, designers and developers, not by salespeople
  • Based in Mississauga, working with clients across eleven Canadian cities
  • Owner led businesses between five and two hundred staff
  • Search, websites, social, lead generation and automation under one team

What do we actually stand for?

Three things, and they are only worth stating because each one costs us something. Transparency loses us work we could have sold. Turning down bad fits loses us revenue. Handing over ownership means clients can leave whenever they want.

01

Honesty and transparency

You see the change log, the placements, the real cost per lead and the months that went the wrong way. If a channel is not working we say so on the call rather than burying it on page four of a report.

02

Cost effectiveness

We scope from the audit, not from a package. If one service will do the job we quote one service, and if the honest answer is that you do not need us yet, that is what you will hear.

03

Work you own

Every account, property, pixel, audience and piece of content is created in your name. Nothing has to be bought back or rebuilt if you take the work elsewhere.

04

Clear communication

You deal with the person doing the work rather than an account manager relaying messages. One monthly call, one report, and a shared board you can open any day.

05

Measurement before opinion

Tracking gets fixed and verified before budget goes anywhere. Most of the arguments in marketing disappear once everyone is looking at numbers that are actually true.

06

The long game

Search, content and reputation compound. We would rather build something that keeps producing in year three than chase a spike that flatters one quarterly report.

Who will actually be working on your account?

These people. Strategy, search, development, content and video are all in house, so you deal with whoever is doing the work rather than an account manager relaying messages between you and them.

What does working with us look like?

A conversation, then a two week audit, then a proposal scoped to what the audit found. Nothing is signed until you have seen our diagnosis, and the audit is yours whether you hire us or not.

  1. 30 minutes

    A conversation

What you sell, who to, what you have tried and what is not working. No presentation and no pitch deck. We can usually name the likely problem on this call.

  2. 2 weeks

    The audit

Your search visibility, your site, your campaigns, your tracking and your follow up, written up with the fixes ranked by what each one is worth against what it costs.

  3. 1 week

    A proposal

Scoped to the audit rather than to a package. Sometimes that means one service. Occasionally it means telling you to spend the money somewhere else entirely.

  4. Ongoing

    The work

A named person doing it, a shared board you can see, a monthly report and call, and no minimum term after the first ninety days.

What will we not do?

The shortcuts that look good for a quarter and cost more than they earned. Bought links, generated content published unedited, agency owned accounts, and contracts designed to make leaving difficult.

Questions people ask before they call

If yours is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather answer it before you commit than after.

Ask us directly

How big is the team?

Small enough that you will know everyone touching your account, and that is deliberate. Strategy, SEO, design, development and paid media are covered in house, with specialists brought in for video and photography. If you want an agency with a hundred staff, we are not it.

Where are you based and who do you work with?

Mississauga, Ontario, with clients across eleven Canadian cities. Mostly owner led businesses between five and two hundred staff: professional services, trades, clinics, ecommerce and B2B. We work well where there is a decision maker we can talk to directly.

Do you work in person or remotely?

Mostly remotely, which is what lets us work across the country without adding travel to your invoice. We meet in person where it genuinely helps, which usually means kickoff, a shoot day, or a quarterly review inside the Greater Toronto Area.

What makes you different from other agencies?

Honestly, the difference is mostly in what we refuse to do. No bought links, no generated content published unedited, no agency owned accounts, no twelve month lock in. Those constraints cost us work, and they are the reason clients stay past the first year.

Do you ever turn work down?

Regularly. Usually because the budget is not enough to produce a result worth having, because the constraint is something we do not solve, or because an existing product would do the job for a fraction of what a custom build costs. Selling that anyway is how agencies lose their reputation.

What happens if we want to leave?

After the first ninety days you can leave any month. Everything runs in accounts you already own, so nothing has to be handed back, bought out or rebuilt. We will do a handover call and document what is where.

How do I know the work is actually working?

Because the reporting is built to make that visible rather than to obscure it. Tracking gets verified before anything starts, the report leads with leads and revenue rather than rankings, and the months that went the wrong way are in there with the reason.

Start with a conversation, not a contract

Thirty minutes on the phone, then a two week audit of where your marketing is leaking and what fixing it is worth. You keep the audit either way, and there is nothing to sign to get it.
