Campaign Tracking and Reporting Services in Canada You Can Decide On

Most marketing reports are wrong in ways nobody notices. We audit what your analytics is really counting, fix the tracking end to end, and build reporting that ties spend to qualified leads and closed revenue.

  • Free audit of your current tracking
  • Verified against real enquiries
  • Dashboards you own outright

Why is my marketing reporting probably wrong?

Because most tracking setups count the wrong things. Page views recorded as conversions, form submissions counted twice, spam included, internal traffic inflating sessions, and phone calls not counted at all in businesses where the phone is the main channel.

This is not unusual, it is the norm. Almost every account we audit has at least one of those problems, and the effect is that every decision made from the report is being made on numbers that do not describe reality. Budget moves to the channel that looks best rather than the one that performs best.

The most common single error is a conversion event firing on a page load rather than on a genuine submission. That inflates conversions, makes cost per conversion look excellent, and tells the ad platform to optimise toward the wrong people. Nothing downstream of that can be trusted.

The second is measuring only what is easy. Online form fills get tracked because they are simple. Phone calls, which for a trades business or a clinic may be most of the enquiries, get ignored entirely. The report then shows a channel producing nothing when it is actually producing most of the revenue.

  • Conversion events verified against real enquiries, not assumed
  • Call tracking where the phone is a genuine channel
  • Spam and internal traffic filtered out of the numbers
  • Source data carried through to the closed deal

What is included in a tracking and reporting setup?

Analytics configuration, conversion tracking across every channel, call tracking, tag management, consent handling, CRM connection for closed loop reporting, and dashboards built for the questions you actually ask.

Everything is built in accounts you own, so the data and the dashboards stay with you.

Measurement foundation

  • GA4 configured properly, not left on defaults
  • Tag management structured so future changes are simple
  • Conversion events defined and verified with real submissions
  • Spam, bot and internal traffic filtered out
  • Cross domain tracking where visitors move between sites
  • Consent mode configured for Canadian privacy requirements

Channel tracking

  • Google Ads conversions imported and verified
  • Meta pixel plus Conversions API for server side accuracy
  • Call tracking with dynamic numbers by source
  • Form submissions tracked per form, not in aggregate
  • Campaign tagging conventions your team can follow
  • Offline conversion import for deals closed by phone or in person

Reporting

  • Dashboards showing spend, leads and cost per qualified lead
  • Channel comparison on the same definitions across platforms
  • Page and campaign level performance
  • CRM connection so closed revenue traces back to source
  • Automated monthly report delivered without anyone building it
  • Documentation covering what each number means

How does a tracking project work?

Audit what is currently counted, fix the measurement, connect the CRM, then build reporting on top. Three to five weeks for most businesses, and the audit alone usually changes how the current numbers get read.

  1. Week 1

    Audit

We submit real test enquiries and follow them through every system to see what actually gets recorded. This is the only reliable way to find out what your conversion numbers really mean.

  2. Week 1 to 3

    Fix the foundation

Events rebuilt, filters applied, tags restructured, call tracking added where the phone matters. Verified by testing rather than assumed to be correct.

  3. Week 3 to 4

    Close the loop

Source data carried into the CRM and back out, so a closed deal can be traced to the campaign that produced it. This is the step most setups never take.

  4. Week 4 to 5

    Build the reporting

Dashboards for the questions you actually ask, automated monthly delivery, and documentation so the numbers mean the same thing to everyone reading them.

What tracking problems do you usually find?

The same handful, on most accounts. Conversions firing on page views, duplicate counting, spam inflating results, missing call tracking, and campaign tagging so inconsistent that channel comparison is meaningless.

ProblemHow commonWhat it causesEffort to fix
Conversion firing on page loadVery commonInflated conversions, ad platforms optimising wronglyLow
Duplicate conversion countingCommonCost per lead looks better than it isLow
Spam form fills countedVery commonWasted follow up time and skewed reportingLow
No call trackingVery common in service businessesWhole channels appear to produce nothingLow to medium
Inconsistent campaign taggingVery commonChannel comparison becomes meaninglessLow
Internal traffic not filteredCommonInflated sessions and distorted engagementLow
No CRM source dataVery commonCannot tell which channel produced revenueMedium

Nearly every fix here is low effort. The cost is not in fixing them, it is in the months of decisions made before anyone checked.

Why not just trust the numbers in the ad platform?

Because every platform reports on its own terms and claims credit generously. Google and Meta will both claim the same conversion. Neither knows whether the lead was qualified or whether it became revenue. Only your own measurement can answer that.

How do I know if my business needs this?

Compare last month reported conversions against the enquiries your team actually received. If those two numbers do not match closely, everything downstream of that report is being decided on fiction.

01

Your numbers do not match reality

The report says forty conversions and the team remembers twelve enquiries. The most common signal, and one you can check yourself in ten minutes.

02

Most enquiries arrive by phone

Without call tracking those enquiries are invisible, so the channel producing them appears to produce nothing and gets cut first.

03

You run more than one channel

Google and Meta will both claim the same conversion. Without independent measurement you cannot tell which one actually deserved the budget.

04

You cannot say what closed

Knowing which campaigns produce enquiries is useful. Knowing which produce revenue changes how the budget gets allocated entirely.

05

After a website rebuild

Tracking almost never survives a migration intact. Checking it afterwards is quick, and it catches problems before months of data go bad.

06

Before increasing spend

Scaling an account you cannot measure is the fastest way to lose money without an explanation. Fix the measurement first, then scale.

What do you get and what does it cost?

A fixed price project producing verified tracking, closed loop reporting and dashboards you own. Ongoing reporting management is available separately and is not required.

Documentation is more useful here than anywhere else. Marketing reports get read by people who did not build them, and a number nobody can define is a number that eventually gets misused in a budget meeting.

Ask us directly

How do I know if my tracking is broken?

Compare your reported conversions against the enquiries your team actually received last month. If the numbers differ by more than a small margin, something is wrong. That single comparison catches most tracking problems and takes ten minutes.

Why do Google Ads and GA4 show different numbers?

They use different attribution models and different conversion windows, so some difference is expected and normal. A large gap usually means duplicate counting, a misconfigured import or a consent setting suppressing data in one and not the other.

Do I need call tracking?

If a meaningful share of your enquiries arrive by phone, yes, and for most trades, clinics and local services that is the majority. Without it, whole channels appear to produce nothing and budget gets cut from the thing that was actually working.

What about privacy rules and cookie consent?

We configure consent mode so measurement respects the visitor’s choice, and set up server side tracking where it improves accuracy without collecting more than it should. Canadian requirements under PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25 differ, and we build to the stricter case.

Can you connect tracking to our CRM?

Yes, and it is the step that makes the reporting genuinely useful. Once source data is carried into the CRM and closed deals are pushed back out, you can finally see which campaigns produce revenue rather than which produce form fills.

Do you build the dashboards or do we use the platform reports?

We build them, usually in Looker Studio, in accounts you own. Platform reports each tell their own story on their own terms. A single dashboard using one consistent definition across channels is what makes them comparable.

Find out whether your marketing numbers are telling you the truth

We will submit real test enquiries and follow them through every system, then show you what your reporting is actually counting. Most audits find at least one problem that changes how the current numbers should be read. No charge.
