What is a marketing funnel build?

It is designing and building every stage a customer moves through, from first seeing you to becoming a client, as one connected system. Traffic, page, capture, follow up and measurement, built together rather than bought separately.

The reason funnels fail is almost never the individual parts. The ads are competent, the page looks fine, the CRM exists. What is missing is the connection between them: the page does not repeat the promise the ad made, the form does not pass the source through, the CRM does not know which enquiries came from where, and nobody can answer whether the spend produced revenue.

Building it as one system fixes that by design. Every stage knows what came before it. Source data travels with the lead all the way to the closed deal. Follow up starts automatically. And the reporting at the end can answer the question the owner actually cares about, which is not how many clicks it produced.

It also makes the weak stage visible. When the whole path is measured, you can see exactly where people fall out: whether the traffic is wrong, the page is unconvincing, the offer is weak, or the follow up is too slow. Without that, marketing budget gets moved around on instinct.

  • Every stage designed against the one before and after it
  • Source data carried from first click through to closed deal
  • Follow up automated so no lead depends on someone remembering
  • One report that answers what the spend produced

What gets built in a funnel project?

Offer and audience definition, traffic setup, landing pages, lead capture and routing, automated follow up, CRM configuration, and reporting that connects marketing spend to closed revenue.

Where a stage already works, we leave it and connect to it. The point is a working whole, not replacing things unnecessarily.

Top of funnel

  • Offer and audience defined before anything is built
  • Channel selection based on where demand actually exists
  • Paid campaign setup on search, social or both
  • Organic and SEO input where it fits the timeline
  • Creative and copy aligned with the landing page promise
  • Retargeting for people who did not convert first time

Capture

  • Landing pages built for one offer and one action
  • Forms designed for the minimum viable information
  • Call tracking where the phone is a real channel
  • Chat or WhatsApp capture where your audience prefers it
  • Lead magnets where the decision needs a lower first step
  • Source and campaign data attached to every submission

Follow through

  • Instant automated acknowledgement to the enquirer
  • Internal routing so every lead has an owner in minutes
  • Nurture sequences by lead type and value
  • CRM pipeline configured to match how you sell
  • Lead quality scored and fed back to the traffic side
  • Reporting from spend through to closed revenue

How is a funnel built and launched?

Map the current state, design the target state, build from the bottom up, then turn on traffic. Building measurement and follow up before traffic means the first dollar spent lands on something that works.

  1. Week 1 to 2

    Map and diagnose

We follow a real enquiry through your current process and record what happens at each step. This produces the map, and usually a few uncomfortable findings about response times.

  2. Week 2 to 3

    Design the target

Every stage specified: what happens, what triggers it, who owns it and what gets measured. Agreed before building, because changing a diagram is cheap and rebuilding a live system is not.

  3. Week 3 to 7

    Build from the bottom

Tracking and CRM first, then follow up, then the pages, then the campaigns. Building in that order means nothing is ever spending money into a system that cannot measure it.

  4. Week 7 onward

    Launch and tune

Traffic on at controlled budget, real leads through the system, and adjustments where reality differs from the design. Scale only once cost per qualified lead is stable.

Where do most funnels leak?

Four places, in this order: the landing page, the form, the speed of first response, and the second follow up that never happens. Traffic quality is usually blamed and is usually not the biggest problem.

StageCommon leakTypical fixEffort
Ad to pagePage does not repeat the ad promiseMessage match and a dedicated landing pageLow
Page to formToo many fields, unclear next stepCut fields, clarify the offer, add proofLow
Form to contactHours or days before anyone repliesInstant automated reply plus routingLow
First to second contactNo follow up after the first attemptAutomated sequence over ten daysLow
Contact to saleNo visibility of pipeline or reasons for lossCRM stages and loss reason trackingMedium
Sale to referralNo review or referral requestPost sale automation triggered on completionLow

Almost every fix on this list is low effort. That is the point. The expensive part is not knowing which one is costing you money.

Why build the whole funnel rather than fix one part?

Because fixing one part in isolation usually moves the bottleneck rather than removing it. Better ads into a weak page produce more expensive disappointment. A great page with slow follow up still loses the deal.

If the map shows one obvious bottleneck, we will scope that alone rather than sell the full build.

How long does it take and what do you keep?

Six to ten weeks to build, then ongoing management if you want it. Everything runs in accounts you own and is documented so your team can operate it without us.

Building measurement and follow up before switching traffic on is the part clients most often want to skip, and the part that most reliably decides whether the funnel works. Spending into a system that cannot measure itself is how budgets disappear without explanation.

Funnel build questions

The free map follows a real enquiry through your current process. It is usually the most useful hour we spend with a new client.

Ask us directly

How much does a full funnel build cost?

Most builds run between 8,000 and 25,000 dollars depending on how many stages need building rather than connecting. Where a CRM and a website already work well, the cost drops considerably because the job becomes integration rather than construction.

Do I need a full funnel or just better ads?

The map answers that. If your page converts well, your response time is under an hour and your CRM tracks source, then better ads probably is the answer. In our experience that combination is rare, and the gain sits further down the path.

Can you build on the tools we already use?

Yes, and we prefer to. Replacing working tools is expensive and disruptive. Most builds involve configuring and connecting what exists rather than migrating everything to something new.

How soon will I see results?

Follow up improvements show almost immediately, because they affect enquiries you are already getting. Traffic and page changes take four to eight weeks to produce a stable cost per lead. Full attribution reporting needs a sales cycle to complete before it means anything.

What if my sales cycle is six months?

Then the funnel is built around nurture rather than immediate conversion, and the reporting is set up to track leading indicators while the pipeline matures. Long cycles make automation more valuable, not less, because manual follow up over six months rarely survives contact with a busy week.

Do you run it afterwards or hand it over?

Either. Everything is documented so your team can operate it. Many clients keep us on for campaign management and reporting while running the CRM side themselves. Nothing is built in a way that requires us to stay.
